Church Vitality Services

The missionary journeys of the book of Acts had two purposes: to start and strengthen churches. Our MBGC mission seeks to do the same. Church Planting Services helps start churches and Church Vitality Services strives to strengthen churches.

Your church’s health is our #1 priority! We help hurting churches survive and healthy churches thrive. Our goal is to strengthen ALL of our churches. We do that by strengthening their leaders, congregations, and networks…

Strengthening Leaders -- Seminars are available to pastors, lay leaders, and coaches. Topics include practical issues like developing deeper prayer ministries, growing small groups, preaching, evangelism, discipleship, church management, stewardship, leadership principles, and handling discouragement. In addition, pastoral care and encouragement is directed towards pastors and wives through retreats, periodic contacts, counseling, gifts, activities, and peer pastor gatherings.

Strengthening Congregations
-- Congregations are strengthened in four main ways: through speakers, resources, consultations, and support ministries. Speakers are available for preaching, teaching, and specialty seminars (“Effective Evangelism,” “Discovering Your Personal Mission,” etc.). Church Vitality Resources include pamphlets on such topics as baptism, the Lord’s Supper, church membership, the role of pastors, the role of deacons, etc. Using tools like Natural Church Development, Gallup’s StrengthFinder, and Ministry Match, specialists are available to your church to consult on Master Planning, Stewardship Expansion, Worker Recruitment, Assimilation, or other particular ministry concerns.
Our Support Ministries are available by request to churches in many different areas. During the coming year, your church will likely benefit from one or more of the following: search committee assistance, pastoral placement, ordinations, dedications, stewardship development, the benevolent fund, celebrations, church loans or grants, legal advice, conflict intervention, retreats, and church partnerships.

Strengthening Networking -- Networking is enhanced by associational groups. Staffed by a number of volunteers, these groups include the men’s ministry, the women’s ministry, the youth ministry, and the Senior Adults’ Ministry (2nd Half for Him).
