Providing the foundation for each of the three service departments, the Ministry Center is “control central” for the launch and direction of all conference ministries. It guides, supervises and coordinates all operations, maintains communication with the churches, serves as a liaison to the Baptist General Conference, plans events like the Annual District meeting and celebration, manages all board and committee meetings, does bookkeeping and financial oversight, handles governmental and legal issues, keeps records, and performs numerous other functions. Providing oversight is Dr. Jim Lacy -- the Executive Minister of the Michigan Baptist General Conference. Working with him is a great staff, the Board of Ministries, and numerous volunteers.
